How Apex M Ltd, trading as BritServe, collects, uses, stores and protects personal data under UK GDPR, including your rights and how to exercise them.

This website is operated by Apex M Ltd, trading as BritServe, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 453 Cranbrook Road, Ilford, Essex, IG2 6EW. References to “we”, “us” and “BritServe” mean that company.

2. What we collect
- Identity and contact data — name, email address, phone number, service address and postcode
- Service data — appliances covered, makes and models, reported faults, visit history and engineer notes
- Transaction data — plan chosen, price, billing dates and payment status
- Technical data — browser type and pages viewed, where analytics is enabled
We do not collect or store card details on this website. Any payment is arranged separately with our team through a regulated payment provider.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the cover plan you have requested (contract)
- To schedule engineer visits and annual service checks (contract)
- To respond to enquiries (legitimate interests)
- To keep records for accounting and warranty purposes (legal obligation)
- To send service updates or newsletters where you have opted in (consent)
4. Sharing
We share data only where necessary: with the engineer attending your property, with our accountants, with our payment provider where you arrange payment, and with authorities where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.
5. Retention
Plan and repair records are kept for six years after cover ends, in line with UK accounting and warranty requirements. Enquiry records are kept for 24 months. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Security
Access to customer records is limited to staff who need it, systems are password protected, and data is transferred over encrypted connections. Data submitted through the checkout form on this website is stored in your own browser until our team collects it with you directly.
