Refund Terms.
Cancellation rights, the 14-day cooling-off period, pro-rata refunds and how refunds are paid for BritServe appliance cover plans.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. 14-day cooling-off period
As a consumer you have 14 days from the day your plan is confirmed to cancel and receive a full refund, provided no engineer visit or service check has taken place in that time.
If you asked us to start cover within the cooling-off period and a visit has already been carried out, we may deduct a reasonable amount for the service provided before refunding the balance.
2. Monthly plans
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time. Cover continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further payments are taken. Part-months are not refunded.
3. Annual plans
Annual plans cancelled after the cooling-off period are refunded pro rata for whole unused months, less the value of any repairs or service visits already carried out under the plan. Where the value of work carried out exceeds the fee paid, no refund is due.
4. Renewals
Annual plans renew automatically. We email a renewal reminder before the renewal date. If a renewal payment is taken and you cancel within 14 days of that date without using the plan, we refund it in full.
5. Faulty or unsatisfactory service
If a repair carried out under your plan fails within its 12-month guarantee we will return and put it right at no extra cost. If we cannot, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. How refunds are paid
Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days of us agreeing the refund. To request one, email apexmstripe@gmail.com with your name, address and plan reference.
