Terms of Use.
The terms governing use of the BritServe website and the appliance cover plans supplied by Apex M Ltd, including plan scope, exclusions, cancellation and liability.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. About us
This website is operated by Apex M Ltd, trading as BritServe, a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 453 Cranbrook Road, Ilford, Essex, IG2 6EW. References to “we”, “us” and “BritServe” mean that company.
By using this website or purchasing a cover plan you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What a cover plan is
A BritServe cover plan is a maintenance and repair service agreement, not an insurance contract. In exchange for the plan fee we provide breakdown repair callouts and annual service checks on the appliances listed on your plan, subject to the limits of your chosen tier.
Plan tiers, prices, parts limits and callout windows are set out on our Plans page and form part of your agreement with us.
3. Eligibility
Cover is available to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, for domestic appliances in working order at the point cover begins. Appliances used commercially require prior written agreement.
4. What is not covered
- Faults present before cover started
- Accidental, deliberate or cosmetic damage that does not affect function
- Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation or failure to follow manufacturer instructions
- Consumables such as filters, bulbs, hoses and detergent dispensers
- Appliances beyond economical repair, and replacement appliances
- Damage caused by flood, fire, lightning or third-party works
5. Ordering through this website
Orders placed through this website are requests for cover. A member of our team will contact you to confirm the appliances covered and arrange payment. Cover begins only when we have confirmed your plan and received the first payment.
We may decline an order where an appliance is outside our service area, already faulty, or outside the scope of our plans.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate contact and appliance information, allow safe access for our engineers at agreed appointment times, and report faults promptly. Repeated missed appointments may result in a rescheduling charge, which will always be explained to you in advance.
7. Cancellation and renewal
Monthly plans may be cancelled at any time and cover ends at the close of the paid period. Annual plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 14 days before the renewal date. Refund entitlements are set out in our Refund Terms.
8. Website content
All text, imagery, layout and branding on this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. Ratings, review counts and statistics shown are indicative of our service record and are not a guarantee of outcome for a particular repair.
9. Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of food, earnings or data, except where caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
